Necessary to make it:

  • 600 grams beef
  • 400 grams onions
  • 500 grams potatoes
  • flour
  • paprika
  • tomato paste
  • 100 grams lard
  • thyme, rosemary, marjoram, laurel
  • broth with stock cube

How to make Goulasch:

Cut the meat in pieces not too small. Boil the potatoes in lightly salted boiling water and allow to cool.
Melt lard in a large pot and add the diced meat, onions and a tablespoon of flour. Fry everything and add the paprika, salt or broth. Mix well and cook on low heat with occasionally adding a ladle of broth.
After about 15 minutes of cooking, add the meat a bit of tomato paste and add the rosemary, the thyme, the marjoram and the laurel. Always cook on low fire.
Serve hot accompanied with boiled potatoes and croutons.
